The first region of Africa is the north one. It is made up of the countries Algeria, Morocco, Western Sahara, Sudan, Tunisia, and Libya. This region is traditionally Muslim and speaks Arabic. This region contains the largest river in the world, The Nile. It runs northward through Egypt making it valuable to the farmers there and in Sudan. They also contain the Atlas Mountains and the largest desert in the world, the Sahara. Their culture also takes food very seriously. A Moroccan saying is "Where there is food, there is no talking" which means they are giving thanks to God in an area where food can get very scarce. Morocco was the US's first ally ever. Some common wildlife are Hyenas, Gazelles and Leopards. North Africa has had recent government changes due to the Arab Spring.

Second is West Africa which includes countries such as Liberia, Ivory Coast, Benin, Sierra Leone, Niger, Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, The Gambia, Senegal, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Viso, and Cape Verde. As recently as December 2014 countries in West Africa such as Liberia and Sierra Leone have had problems with the Ebola virus. Due to their poor country and less than educated people, it was hard to contain at first. The marines were sent into Liberia to help considering they are closely tied to the US. Liberia was started when the US offered to take slaves back to Africa in the 1800's, and they banded together to create the country. They have shaped the world with their numerous amount of resources including but not limited to uranium, iron ore, copper, and coal. Their climate is tropical and semi-arid grasslands. Nigeria is the largest population wise but Niger has more land mass.

Next is Central Africa. The countries in central Africa are Chad, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Gabon, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Equatorial Guinea, and South Sudan. South Sudan is the world's youngest country. Its recent independence has been nothing but turmoil for its people, though. Starvation and civil war have plagued them since World War II. The Democratic Republic of Congo has also suffered rebellion and human rights violations. Cocoa, coffee, and rubber are major agricultural exports. Mostly they are a rain forest environment.

Next is East Africa or otherwise known as the Horn of Africa. Madagascar, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, and Malawi. Somalia and all coastal countries suffer from piracy on the shipping industry. Zimbabwe has suffered from one of the worst cases of deflation of all time. They went from being the bread basket of Africa to having food riots. During this time, everyone was a millionaire. A US dollar is worth almost 350 times more than the current Zimbabwean dollar even after they tried to fix inflation. Tanzania thrives off of tourism to their many wildlife preserves. Most of this region is tropical jungles and has lions, guerrillas, and gazelles. Ethiopia is currently outraged by ISIS killings in Libya with some protests turning violent.
Finally, South Africa is the smallest region. It contains South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland, and Lesotho. Currently, South Africa has problems with xenophobic attacks and arrests. The people march against these attacks. It has caused political complications with Indonesia. Most of the arrests took place in Johannesburg. However, other problems such as people going to ISIS and racist accusations after taking down a colonial age statue still plague the country.
